And an Amazing Memento:
Two Framed “One Night Stand” Posters
In 1992, Knoxville gay history was made as a group of friends decided to host a regional event that would bring awareness of the AIDS epidemic and raise funds for those living with HIV in Knoxville. “One Night Stand” was the Scruffy Little City’s version of a circuit party for the gay community. Over the course of the next three years, this event raised over $90,000 for AIDS Response Knoxville. Partiers came from all over the country and national magazines such as “The Advocate,” “OUT,” and “Frontiers” co-sponsored the event. Local gay photographer Jan Lynch donated his talent to the event posters. Here’s your chance to own the original posters from the premiere event in 1992 and the last event in 1994.
Stay tuned for more details.
